01Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Track Lancer (the "Service"), operated by narednra-create ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, sharing a project code, or otherwise accessing the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

02Description of Service

Track Lancer is a milestone-based project tracking tool built for Indian freelancers and their clients. It allows freelancers to create projects, define milestones, record UPI payment IDs, and share a unique 8-digit project code with clients — giving both parties a shared, transparent view of project progress and payment history.

The Service does not process payments. It records UPI transaction IDs submitted manually for verification purposes only. All payments happen directly between the freelancer and client outside the platform.

03Accounts & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to register an account. By registering, you warrant that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility. Notify us immediately at Email if you suspect unauthorised access.

Clients accessing a project via an 8-digit code must also create an account to view their current and past projects. By creating an account, they agree to be bound by these Terms for as long as they continue to use the Service.

04User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false or fraudulent transaction IDs.
  • Use the Service to deceive, defraud, or harm other users.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform.
  • Share project codes with anyone outside the intended project relationship.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose under Indian law.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove any account we determine, in our sole discretion, to be in violation of these conduct rules.

05Payments & UPI

Track Lancer is free to use. We do not charge a subscription fee, take a commission, or add gateway fees. The Service is provided as a transparency and record-keeping tool only.

All financial transactions referenced within the Service are UPI payments made directly between the freelancer and client. We are not a party to those transactions, do not hold funds, and are not liable for any payment disputes, failed transfers, or fraud occurring outside the platform.

When a client submits a UPI transaction ID, it is stored as plain text solely so the freelancer can manually verify the payment. This record does not constitute proof of payment in any legal sense.

Accuracy of Payment Information: Freelancers are solely responsible for providing and maintaining accurate payment information, including but not limited to their UPI ID (Virtual Payment Address). The Platform does not independently verify the ownership or accuracy of the UPI ID provided.

Liability for Incorrect Payment Details: In the event that a Freelancer provides an incorrect, inactive, or invalid UPI ID, and a Client processes a payment to that provided ID, the Platform shall not be held liable for any loss of funds, delayed payments, or failed transactions. The Platform cannot reverse or recover funds sent to an incorrect UPI ID resulting from user error.

Client Verification: Clients agree to exercise due diligence by verifying the recipient's name displayed on their respective UPI application (e.g., Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm) prior to authorizing any payment via the provided QR code or payment link.

Platform Role: The Platform acts solely as an intermediary providing a peer-to-peer connection for payments. We do not process, hold, or route the funds, and therefore assume no responsibility for the final settlement of transactions. Any disputes regarding payments made to incorrect UPI IDs must be resolved directly between the Client, the Freelancer, and their respective banking institutions.

Proof of Payment: Clients must retain proof of payment until the Freelancer confirms receipt. Screenshots alone do not constitute conclusive proof of payment, and the Platform reserves the right to request additional transaction details where necessary.

06Project Budgets & Milestones

When initiating a project, the freelancer must specify a Total Cost agreed upon with the client. This Total Cost serves as the maximum authorized budget for the project.

Freelancers may autonomously create milestones and assign costs to them without requiring individual client approval, provided that the cumulative cost of all milestones does not exceed the predefined Total Cost.

Any milestones that would cause the project to exceed the agreed Total Cost are strictly prohibited unless the Total Cost is formally amended. Track Lancer enforces this structure to protect both parties from unexpected scope creep and billing surprises.

07Data & Privacy

We collect only what is necessary: your name, email address, and the project and milestone data you create. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.

We use Resend for transactional email (OTPs and notifications) and Vercel Analytics for aggregate usage insights. No advertising networks or social trackers are present on this platform.

Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (Southeast-1 region). By using the Service you consent to this storage.

You may request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us. Deletion is processed within 7 business days.

For the full privacy breakdown, see the Privacy Policy section on the home page.

14Data Retention, System Operation, and Project Lifecycle

System Latency and Data Synchronization: The User explicitly acknowledges and agrees that the activity data and status updates displayed on the Platform are not strictly real-time. The Platform employs a periodic synchronization protocol whereby activity data is fetched and updated at intervals of approximately thirty (30) seconds. The Company makes no representations or warranties regarding instantaneous data reflection and shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses, claims, or damages arising out of or in connection with this inherent system latency or brief delays in data synchronization.

Data Retention Policy: User Activities: In accordance with our data minimization principles and to maintain optimal server performance, the Company institutes a strict data retention limit on temporary user activity logs. The Company reserves the absolute right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to permanently delete any User activities, activity logs, or associated tracking data that are older than seven (7) days from the exact date and time of their creation. The User acknowledges that upon such deletion, the data shall be permanently irrecoverable, and the Company bears no legal or contractual obligation to retain, retrieve, or furnish such historical activity data beyond this stipulated period.

Project Lifecycle and Abandonment: To ensure the efficient operation of the Platform and the judicious use of computational resources, any projects initiated or listed by the User that remain in an "unclaimed," "pending," or otherwise inactive status for a continuous period exceeding thirty (30) days shall be legally deemed abandoned by the User. Upon the expiration of this thirty (30) day period, the Company reserves the unilateral right to permanently remove, purge, and destroy such abandoned projects from its databases and servers without any prior intimation to the User. The Company shall bear no liability whatsoever for any loss of data, loss of anticipated profits, intellectual property claims, or business disruptions resulting directly or indirectly from the automated deletion of such abandoned projects.
